Placement

  1. Determine the proper starting level for your student. Visit the course descriptions in our Store for information on each course to help with this decision.
  2. Email the online class coordinator at onlinenospamhereclasses@mathusee.com to arrange assessment testing for your student(s). (Note: The online assessment tests are NOT the same as the print Placement Tests.)
  3. Our online co-op class coordinator will contact you for final placement in the proper level.
  4. These steps must be completed prior to registering for a class.

A Class Session

During a typical class session, the instructor will:

  • Answer questions from the previous lesson
  • Supplement DVD/instruction manual with educational insights on new material
  • Address students’ questions from current lesson
  • Work through practice problems with the class
  • Provide optional instruction on the honors lesson (if time permits)

Student Preparation

Prior to each class, the student should:

  • Read each assigned lesson in the Instruction Manual and watch the corresponding video lesson on the DVD
  • Attempt the first lesson worksheet from the Student Workbook for the current lesson
  • Tests

    • Student submits lesson test results online to help instructor direct and focus learning
    • Most tests are presented in multiple-choice format for familiarization with standardized testing formats

    Grading

The final grade is determined by each family, using daily assignments, test results and unit exams as they choose.

    Extra Help

During the week, instructor can answer questions (via e-mail) about past and current lessons.
