Math Flowers: Two-lips and Three-lips

I got this email from a happy Math-U-See fan and thought I would share it with you,

During Math today, my 9 year old made an Orange Two-lip, and Pink Three-lip we had to share! She calculated the number they represent too!

Here is a picture of my 5 year old son making his castle. He has taught himself some addition facts and recognition of two digit numbers just playing with the blocks and watching the DVDs with his sisters!

We are all excited about learning math with Math-U-See and tell everyone we know about it! Thanks so much!

Sincerely,

A very happy Math-U-See fan!

The Great Wall of Ten

Sheryl from Peanut Butter Jelly Boats.com sent me this picture of her son,

After completing Making Ten in Alpha, my 6 yr old combined it with our lesson on China and made The Great Wall of 10 with blocks

We saw Math Blocks and we saw how the Penguins like Math U See blocks. Penguins make math more fun too.

Living in a Block Town

I received this email today from Kim,

Our kids Hannah (8) and Jacob (10) had lots of fun building a town with the Math U See blocks.  They could tell me the area, the length of the roads and dimensions of their house.  They completed their “town” with Lego men and BIG RIG vehicles.  What a great way to reinforce the math concepts they are learning.

WHO SAID THOSE BLOCKS WERE ONLY FOR MATH?

If you have a picture you would like to see on the blog send it to ethan@mathusee.com

A fun way to learn the block colors

A happy mom sent in this picture of what happened after they received their order.

“We played with them for ages and by the end Marcus was saying things like, ‘I need a 2 it’s orange’ and ‘use a unit, the green one’”

Sounds like a fun way to learn the block colors and their corresponding numbers. :-)

Our Name in Lights, I mean in Blocks
