I got this email from a happy Math-U-See fan and thought I would share it with you,
During Math today, my 9 year old made an Orange Two-lip, and Pink Three-lip we had to share! She calculated the number they represent too!
Here is a picture of my 5 year old son making his castle. He has taught himself some addition facts and recognition of two digit numbers just playing with the blocks and watching the DVDs with his sisters!
We are all excited about learning math with Math-U-See and tell everyone we know about it! Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
A very happy Math-U-See fan!

My children were also very creative with the manipulatives, and it was obvious it helped them to learn. When my youngest was too young for MUS, I would allow him to play with the manipulatives at the table while I was working with my two oldest. By the time, he started the first MUS book (which was Foundations for us), he needed little or no instruction and was done with the book in record-breaking time.
That is fantastic! My boys are 11 and 13 and still love to make math puns, castles, creations, and now they review by helping their younger friends learn math. They’ve referred several new fans of Math-U-See.

My son has just started the Beta program. He loves to build space ships with each of his math problems. One today looked just like the Enterprise. I don’t know how he remembers how many of each block he has on there but he does! And it makes it challenging for me to check his work!
Best part though, is that he “blows up” his ship in order to do the next problem…
