Decimal Cat

[cue theme music]

nah nah na na Nah Nah na na DECIMAL CAT!

This picture gives a whole new meaning to “Neighborhood Watch” :-)

Tracy send the picture in and had this to say…

Just a quick but HUGE thank you for this great math program! My daughter, age 6, was crying everyday because she didn’t understand her math work. We were using a program that I used with my son that seemed to work just fine…but not for her. I called a friend and she suggested Math-U-See and I ordered it immediately.

She LOVES math now and is always asking if we can do more in her workbook. She also loves the DVD with Mr. Steve teaching and thinks he looks a little like Dr. Phil…sorry!

Dr. Phil is a new one :-)

So who does Steve remind YOU of?

“Smiling Ear to Ear”

My dad got a “thank you” email a few days ago with this to say,

Thank you so much for the wonderful blessing Math-U-See has been to our family. I am a Math challenged Mom and without Math-U-See I know our homeschool life would not be nearly as harmonious! I am always singing the praises of MUS to other homeschoolers!

I tracked down her blog and found some great pictures, here are a few with some quotes.

Here are the kids proudly posing with their math Curriculum for the year!

I am behind the camera SMILING ear to ear! Math Phobic Mom’s kids LOVE Math! HOOORAY!!!! -Jamin

Looks like some fun multi-generational learning is happening :-)

The kids will be receiving a few Math-U-Tees to commemorate making their mom “Smile from ear to ear”

Another Great Testimonial

I got this email a few days ago and had to share it. :-)

Hey Ethan,

You know you’re a Math-U-Fan when your son pauses his video game to explain double digit multiplication to another homeschooling mom!!

This actually happened in our home!  There I was trying to make the big sell to this other mom, showing her how MUS uses the manipulative’s with the double digit multiplication, when my son yelled out, “Wait, let me show her how it’s done!”  He paused his game, set his controller down and ran to the homeschool table before I could show her myself.  She was so impressed that she changed to MUS for all three of her boys within the same week!!!

So in the end, it wasn’t ME who sold her on the program but rather it was my son’s enthusiasm about the lesson he’d recently learned!

Amy

Thanks for sending in the email, it’s fun hearing from parents whose children are enthusiastic about math :-)

Please Pardon our Slow Going

 Slow Going

Slow Going

We are in the process of starting a Math-U-See email newsletter. In the process of figuring things out and moving email addresses from our shopping cart to the new software we had a glitch and a bunch of people received an automatically generated message.

So if you received a message from us about a newsletter please know that your address was entered into our shopping cart and the check box to receive the newsletter was clicked.

If you do not want to receive the newsletter let me know and I’ll get you off it.

Thanks for your understanding as you bear with us as I figure out how is supposed to work :-) And for those of you who want to get on the email list I will have info for you next week.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming :-)

It’s the Weekend

So I thought I’d post up something fun. I discovered a random advertising slogan generator. And since I happen to be the director of marketing I put in Math-U-See just to see what would come up.  Here are 10 results…

  1. I Think, Therefore Math-U-See.
  2. Math-U-See. It’s What’s For Dinner.
  3. I Feel Like Math-U-See Tonight.
  4. Would You Give Someone Your Last Math-U-See?
  5. Come See the Softer Side of Math-U-See.
  6. Math-U-See: The Other White Meat.
  7. Snap! Crackle! Math-U-See!
  8. Behold the Power of Math-U-See.
  9. New Thinking. New Math-U-See.
  10. Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz, Oh, What a Math-U-See it is!

Which one is your favorite?

Think you can do better than a random computer? Leave a funnier/better slogan and I’ll add it to the list :-)
