My daughter has used your program for 6 years and just entered high school. Her average in math this year was over 100% in her class and she is requesting that I order the geometry program for her to complete over the summer so she can learn from YOU rather than in traditional school. I received my order this morning and started using it with my older daughter, my younger son (5) was trying to do everything on the video with us. He begged me to do it with him too!!!!! So- I decided to get him his own “big boy” program for us to do together! This is awesome. I wish there was something like this when I was a little girl. Dear Steve,
I am a professor of chemistry for a selective liberal arts institution. Besides teaching general, organic, and senior topics courses in chemistry, I also teach trigonometry and college algebra. Each year I am increasingly surprised by the paucity of mathematical skills displayed by incoming freshmen. Even the simplest of algebraic expressions are mismanipulated. There are several factors that are contributing to this phenomenon, but one of the factors is the math curriculum used by the public schools. The students that come through my classroom who have been homeschooled are consistently capable of handling the math implicit to chemistry.
As homeshcool parents, my wife and I chose to use Math-U-See on a trial basis two years ago. My son and daughter are building their own equations and solving for unknowns in their Math-U-See curricula. How I wished my freshmen in general chemistry could do the same! Math-U-See is not simplistic that overlooks rigor. Quite the opposite! Math-U-See presents mathematical concepts in a logical and rational manner, which inherently makes sense. If the time permitted, I would have all of my college chemistry students take a math course using Math-U-See!

I love Math U See
Being a 40 plus mum I have learnt my 9 times table – yes I will openly admit I didn’t know them (nor all my 6, 7 or 8’s) and I only got 15% in my math exam. But I did get to be a bank manager before kids. HAHA
I love Mathusee and all the tricks & patterns Steve Shares. I often think to myself oh why wasn’t I taught this!!! & I am looking forward to learning the rest!
I am pleased to say mathusee is also working really well for James who is dyslexic he too has learnt his 9 times tables - I think it has been fun for him that his mum is learning them with him.
I should add - that even though my math skills are very poor our dd13 is doing wonderfully with Mathusee in pre algebra all on her own - Steve is teaching her not me!
DD attended school at beginning of the year (NZ is Feb) she helped so many kids learn fractions that didn’t understand them & used Mathusee methods. She decided to come home to learn & really enjoyed picking up mathusee again!
