We Have a Winner :-)

In my last post I “I’ll send a free Math-U-See tote bag to the first person to send me a picture of themself at the Math-U-See booth” Well the first person to send me one was Karen, author of the rohanknitter blog. She sent this picture and said,

“OK, this isn’t me, it’s 2 of my kids, but they are standing in front of the MUS booth at the convention yesterday. It’s not a very good shot and they were a little embarrassed that their dad was taking pictures in the vendor hall. ; )”

At the Math-U-See booth
If you look closely you can see my dad on the DVD playing in the background :-)

Congrats to Karen for submitting the first picture and winning a free tote-bag! :-)

Here is an idea, I’ll send a free Math-U-See tote bag to the first person to send me a picture of themself at the Math-U-See booth :-) Ready set go!

Math-U-See wins “Excellence in Education Award”

In the Spring Issue of “The Old Schoolhouse Magazine” they announced the winners of their Excellence in Education Awards. The readers voted and Math-U-See has again won first place in the Math category.

Excellence in Education

Thanks for voting us #1 yet again!

In your opinion, what is the most excellent part of using Math-U-See?

Math-U-See Rocks!

At least that is what one Math-U-Fan thinks :-)

Tammy, a homeschooling mom of three sent us these pictures and had this to say,

“M (10years old) had a smile on her face after every problem she solved and
she had her “I get it!” happy face on. She could SEE the math and now
understands how to borrow without any crying or fighting! It is so
nice when teaching goes smoothly and is so easy to understand. What a
great start to our day!

I say during almost every new lesson ‘I wish I had MUS when I was
learning math in school.’ I really do! Then I would have learned to
like and understand math like she is.”

Math Rocks

Hmmm I wonder where they got the idea of writing messages on a white board :-)

Math Rocks

“M2, my 7-yr old, wasn’t understanding math before MUS,
now she gets it! And the icing on the cake is SHE LOVES IT! Now she
can’t wait until tomorrow so she can do her math! Last night, Sunday
at 9:30pm she suddenly exclaims ‘I can’t wait to do my math tomorrow!
I’m starting a new lesson!’ That is sweet music to a homeschooling
mother’s ears.”

I enjoy getting emails like this, it means we must be doing something right :-)

Have fun teaching Math!

Happy Mothers Day!

To all the moms out there daily laying down their lives for their children, you truly are the blessed ones of the world. Thank you.

Have a wonderful mother’s day and enjoy your children. :-)

See the Queens in Harrisburg

The Queen family stopped by the warehouse yesterday to pick up supplies for the Harrisburg homeschool convention. Here is what the Queen mobile looks like…

Queen RV

I got the grand tour inside with Keith.

Queen RV 2

They will be at the Math-U-See booth at CHAP, up in Harrisburg PA this weekend at the Homeschool convention. Stop by and tell them you saw their RV on the Math-U-Blog.

My dad will also be walking around for a little while so see if you can catch him as well.

Decimal Street Video

Here is a little sneak peak of what I’m working on for the Math-U-See website. Soon we will have the Demo DVD available online as well as samples of all the DVD’s. Take a look at this 5 minute section on decimal street.

Speaking of decimal street here are a few fun project to do with decimal street. Click here

What do you think about putting DVD samples online?
